No hiding, please!

To the Editor,

At the Sept. 13 Democratic primary, voters will select candidates for village of Mamaroneck trustee positions. Three of the four candidates on that ballot want to hide and misinform, and hope voters will elect them anyway.

For example, televised debates are an accepted way to engage and inform voters, but three of the four candidates have declined to participate in a Sept. 7 primary debate to be televised by LMCTV. Campaign finance reports tell us who is financially backing the candidate, but three of the four candidates have not made the required filings. Finally, three of the four falsely say they have been endorsed. Talk to George Latimer, Steve Otis and Catherine Parker, or your local district leaders to verify that no endorsements have been handed out.

One candidate will be at the debate, ready to answer our questions and has filed and will continue to file campaign finance reports: Stuart Tiekert. Should you have any influence over the three other candidates, please encourage them to come out from their hiding places so the voters can make an informed choice.
