WBT to hold ‘Annie’ auditions

Westchester Broadway Theater, WBT, in Elmsford will be holding non-union children’s auditions for their upcoming production of “Annie.”

Auditions will be held Saturday, May 20 at Westchester Broadway Theatre. WBT will be scheduling appointments in one-hour blocks.

Eligibility requirements:

-All girls must be 4’11” or less.

-All girls must be at least 6 years old at the time of the first rehearsal.

-Children auditioning will be considered for all roles. If your child has a preference, please notate on audition card.

-Non-union children.

-Must be willing/able to interact with a professional dog.

WBT will be measuring everyone when they sign in for audition. Anyone over the height requirement or under the age requirement will not be seen. Please be sure your child meets these requirements.

Seeking the roles of:

-Annie: to play 11-year-old. Spunky, big voice, excellent and accurate singing range, comedic timing and good mover. Caucasian.

-Peppe: to play 11-year-old. Tough cookie of group of orphans, excellent and accurate singing range, comedic timing and good mover. All ethnicities.

-Kate: to play 7-year-old. Second youngest orphan, excellent and accurate singing range, great comedic timing, and be a good mover. All ethnicities.

-Molly: to play 6-year-old. The littlest orphan. Must have excellent singing and dancing skills. All ethnicities.

-Tessie: to play 10-year-old. A crybaby. Must have excellent singing and dancing skills. All ethnicities.

-July: to play 12-year-old. The quietest of the orphans. Must have excellent singing & dancing skills. All ethnicities.

-Duffy: to play 12-year-old. The biggest and eldest orphan. Must have excellent singing & dancing skills. All ethnicities.

-Orphans age range in the show is 6 to 12. Actual age is not as important as height and ability to act younger.

Callbacks will be Wednesday, May 24. Rehearsals will be held the week of June 12. The show will open on June 29, and closes on Sept. 10.
