Larchmont-Mamaroneck LOWV to host candidate forums

With seats up for election at both the village and state levels this year, the League of Women Voters of Larchmont-Mamaroneck will be hosting a candidates’ forum on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Mamaroneck Courtroom, located at 740 West Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Candidates in contested elections for New York state Senate and the Mamaroneck Village Board of Trustees will debate each other as they answer questions from the league and audience. Prior to the debates, the candidate with no opposition, Assemblyman Steve Otis, a Democrat, will also respond to questions.

The following candidates are slated to be at the forum:

NYS Assembly District 91: Steve Otis (Democrat, incumbent, uncontested)

NYS Senate District 37: George Latimer (Democrat, incumbent); Julie Killian (Republican)

Village of Mamaroneck Board of Trustees: Leon Potok (Democrat, incumbent); Dennis Cucinella (Republican); Maria DeRose; (Republican); J. Malte Stoeckhert (Republican); Victor Tafur (Democrat); Keith Waitt (Democrat)
